What You'll find in the All-New 2020 Subaru Outback

The Subaru Outback is a wagon that many drivers have loved over the years and continues to draw in many more with phenomenal updates every year. The 2020 Subaru Outback brings you a wide array of brand-new features and options, being made with almost entirely new parts to make it more reliable, exciting, and safe.

New Engine Options

While the Subaru Outback hasn’t been known for its heart-pumping excitement, the 2020 model year brings some engine options that can change that. The base engine is a capable 2.5-liter engine that makes up to 182 horsepower, an increase over the previous year's 175. You can now also swap that engine out for a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that makes up to 260 horsepower for an even more thrilling drive.

A New Platform

Being put on the new Global Platform from Subaru means the 2020 Subaru outback will be more rigid and will uphold better during accidents. You shouldn’t need to put this to the test though, especially with the updates and improvements to the Subaru EyeSight system that now includes DriverFocus distraction mitigation.

A New Multimedia Screen

Coming on all but the base model, an 11.6-inch screen controls all the media, HVAC, X-MODE, and vehicle settings. This screen sits directly in the center of the dash, making it easy for the driver and the front passenger to adjust settings accordingly. There are a variety of features that surround and can be controlled by this screen, including the available Wi-Fi hotspot, the Chimani App, and many more.
